April 2016: Band SDK update for Windows and iOS

  • Added support for up to 20 tiles.

March 2016: Band SDK update for Windows Phone, Windows, iOS and Android

  • Adds a 5 Hz subscription to the GSR sensor.

February 2016: Band SDK update for Windows Phone, Windows, iOS and Android

  • Provides the current day's values for the Altimeter, Calories, Distance, Pedometer and UV sensors.
  • Enables Windows Phone 10 Universal Apps to handle tile events in the background. The supported tile events are TileOpened, TileClosed and TileButtonPressed. This feature removes the limitation that Windows Phone 10 apps need to run in the foreground to handle tile events. See the Band SDK documentation for details.

January 2016: Band SDK update for Android

  • Fixed Bluetooth connectivity issues with Android 6.0.1.

December 2015: Band SDK update for iOS

  • Fixed an issue where user confirmation dialog would not show when adding tiles in iOS.
  • Enabled Bitcode for iOS SDK.

October 2015: Band SDK update for Windows Phone, Windows, iOS, and Android

  • Works with both Microsoft Band and Microsoft Band 2.
  • Introduces 5 new sensors for Microsoft Band 2.
  • Allows creation of PDF 417 barcodes with alpha/numeric data on Microsoft Band 2.
  • Increases the icon limits for tiles on Microsoft Band 2.

July 2015: Band SDK update for Windows Phone, Windows, iOS and Android

  • Allows disabling the screen timeout for Tiles.
  • Fixed an issue with Tile icons and buttons - you can now create icon-buttons (by overlapping icon and button elements).
  • Tile page updates now reflect while the Tile is opened.
  • Windows and Windows Phone only: fixed an issue with the gyroscope sensor that caused the accelerometer and gyroscope values to be swapped. The standalone accelerometer sensor is not affected.

April 2015: Band SDK update for Windows Phone, Windows, iOS and Android

  • Allows creating rich content for Tiles, via custom UI pages that can include Text, Icon, Button and Barcode elements.
  • Allows applications to handle Tile and Button events.
  • Provides real-time access to Calories data.
  • Allows connecting to the Band from Windows Phone background tasks, removing the limitation from the Preview release.
  • Allows iOS Apps to register Tiles for remote or local notifications.
